Location Data

Location data is central to Offroad Buddies. We use it to:

  • Display your position on the map
  • Record your riding tracks
  • Share your location with group members (when enabled)
  • Enable "Ghost Mode" to help you find your way back

You control who sees your location through visibility settings (Online, Group Only, or Invisible). We do not sell your location data to third parties.

We share your information only as follows:

  • With Group Members: Your real-time location is shared with members of groups you join, based on your visibility settings
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services for hosting, analytics (Firebase), and map tiles
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law

Your data is stored securely on servers within the European Union. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your tracks at any time. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
